I had my last doctor's appointment for this pregnancy today. You have no idea how happy those words make me. Pregnancy is getting to be downright unbearable. I'm not sleeping much at all and it has become so difficult to just walk around and don't get me started on heartburn. But now it's soon to be over, I was dilated to a 3 and so I'm going to be scheduled for an induction on June 4th. I have eight more days, at the most, till Baby Boy makes his debut. Yikes, that makes my heart race.
It's not ideal timing, that's the day my little sister graduates and my nieces birthday. And, my niece and nephew will be baptized on the 5th, so my mom wouldn't be able to come until the 6th. But he's supposed to weigh over 8 lbs already, so the less time left, the better.
Update on Lillie's potty training, since as you can see from all my comments, that everyone has been very concerned. Ha ha. Lillie cannot watch Dora or Diego or play computer games until she has successfully pooped in the toilet and gone without peeing accidents each day. I hate to put stipulations on everything, but she's done a ton better now. Hopefully things don't go south when Baby arrives.

Best Friends
Hallie and Lillie have been so cute together lately. On this particular occasion, they were pretending to be sleeping princesses waiting for Prince Charming to wake them with true loves kiss. Okay, maybe I'm just speculating, but either way, I love it!

I'm Pooped!
We've have got a battle raging against number 2 at our house. Lillie is great, even awesome about going number 1 on the big toilet BUT I can probably count all the times that she's gone number 2 in the potty on two hands in the almost 2 months since we've been potty training. Pretty much all the rest have been in her panties. We've tried bribery and taking away privileges but nothing works. I am so sick of cleaning out poopy panties, it's a huge mess. I know constipation can make kids scared of going number 2, but that's definitely not her problem. I know some kids want a diaper or pull up to go number 2 in, but she doesn't care. She usually won't even come find me when it's happened, I'll just find her...later. So there may or may not be poo tracked into the carpet. I need help! I'd hate to call it quits and put diapers back on, since she does so well with number 1. Any advice on things that worked for your kids???

7 YEARS
DISCLAIMER: These are the only wedding photos I have on this computer, so they might not have been the ones I would have chosen, oh well, I'm too lazy to do anything about it.
Happy Anniversary, Eric! It's been 7 wonderful years, I love you!
Happy Anniversary, Eric! It's been 7 wonderful years, I love you!
This picture was taken while we were waiting to hear a yes from a dental school. Eric wasn't going to shave until he got in. Thankfully, the acceptance letter did come from USC. And three and a half years later, we couldn't be happier. Plus, he had to shave the beard, double yay.
Last Friday was graduation for the dental school, and so Eric is officially now a senior. I cannot believe how fast dental school has gone. And I thought I would never say that. We are starting our final summer in SoCal, I am already getting all nostalgic.
Super Baby
So I have always pictured our Baby Boy looking just like Lillie did as a baby. Thick, dark hair, dark eyes, and skinny limbs with a large belly. But, I came across this picture today and realized that I could be very, very wrong. Don't worry, I would love red hair and blue eyes, too. Either way I'll be happy, it will just be a surprise to me if it does happen!

Another Dr. Appointment
So I had an appointment this morning, my 36 week visit. We did an ultrasound a week early because I had been measuring large last week and now I know why. The ultrasound started out fine, baby was only measuring a week bigger than he should with his head and stomach, but when she measured the length of his femur, he measured closer to 40 weeks. So he's gonna be a tall one. The overall estimation said that he was 38 weeks large and weighed 7 lbs 1 oz. Did you catch that? He already weighs over 7 pounds! And I've supposedly got 4 more weeks!
After talking over my troubles with delivering a 7 lb 12 oz baby last time, the doctor gave me the okay to start walking 30 mins a day, 5 times a day to try and get that baby to come sooner than 4 weeks. Holy smoke. That's a lot of walking. And walking is not fun for a woman with a HUGE stomach, I've constantly got contractions, but I'm gonna give it my best. I was only dilated to a 1, but soft, so we'll see how much we can progress this week with walking.

Momma's Boy
This onesie was once pink and it said princess on it, surrounded by butterflies (proof: the snaps are still pink). I got the idea from the MADE blog a few months ago to dye onesies and to applique over dumb sayings. It's not perfect but I think it's pretty dang cute. All I had to buy was the dye which I also used to dye another onesie and a couple burp cloths. And when you buy it at Joanns and use a coupon, it's cheap. Can't wait to do more!
Dora and Diego
Taken May 2009 at Universal Studios
Lillie has always loved TV but it has now reached a new depth with her discovery of Dora and Diego. She is crazy about these shows, she begs and throws fits all the time for them. And when I do let her, she's glued to the screen, occasionallly repeating things they want her to, but mostly just frozen in place. About a month ago, we realized that she was actually picking stuff up from these shows, when she started saying words in spanish. She knows:
-Ayudame
-Arriba
-Abajo
-Abre
-Ciera
-Ariscante
Lillie always talks about "swiping" stuff, she says "you'll never find it now" as she hides things like our cell phones.
I wish she liked a show that was a little more educational, but at least she is learning something!

Spring Break
Our break this year was spent in WA with my family. This is the only picture I have from the two and a half weeks that we were there...my camera was always too far away from the action (and from the looks of this poor quality photo, maybe we need to get a new point and shoot). So this is everyone in our family, soon to be outdated as my sister and I are having babies in June. It was so nice to be home, it seemed as though it had been forever. Lillie loved playing with all her cousins, running freely around the farm and giving Grandma's cat too tight of hugs. She was so happy being there, I felt really guilty taking her back to our small, lonely apartment. I was also less than thrilled to leave. I thought that maybe I should just have my baby in WA and then come home a couple months later. I'm sure my mom is relieved that I didn't stay. With a lot of family around, she had to make big meals and clean big messes daily. But I did realize this trip that we do want to try and get as close to my family as possible in the Air Force. Before I was thinking it might be nice to see some other place for a couple years. But it kills me to miss out on family events like birthdays and baptisms and just spending time with my mom and sisters.
Bye Bye Baby
Lillie has had some big changes in her life lately. We took the side off her crib to turn it into a toddler bed, we're working on potty training and last night we started the process of getting rid of the last thing baby about her. Lillie LOVES her pacifiers. They have been her and my lifesavers since she was 6 months old (this is when she learned to put it in her mouth by herself and has slept through the night ever since). She sleeps with one in her mouth and another in her hand, which she caresses her face with at night. But now that she's in a toddler bed, it's easy for her to hide a binky so that she can sneak into her room during the day and suck on it. And since she's potty training, in a big girl bed, and has conversations with me that are adult caliber, the pacifiers seem out of place. So last night we snipped off the end of them and gave them to her same as any other time. It took one suck and she said, "it's broken" and then switched it out for her other binky and said "it's broken too, we need to fix it." But we just acted surprised and puzzled and said goodnight. It took her an extra hour to fall asleep, but she was just in there talking away. And despite my worst fears, she slept through the night. So, although this might be suicide for the few naps that she does take during the week, I think it'll be worth it.

Home Stretch
Went to the dr. yesterday for my 35 week visit. Measured 38 cm this time, so next week I'll get another ultrasound to see how big this baby is, instead of at 37 weeks. Will have to go every week now. I pre-registered at the hospital and set things up for pediatrician. All that's left is baby's arrival. Keep hoping that an overwhelming nesting urge will come to give me the energy to get things ready for baby, but hasn't happened yet (my closets need to be reorganized badly). Given up on the idea, so baby should just come...
More scared than last time to go into labor. Don't love the epidural insertion but is totally worth it. Worried this time labor won't be as easy as last time. Hope baby has turned head down. Am overjoyed that the weight gain and other pregnancy side effects will soon end.

H is for ???
So this is one of the projects that I've been working on the past month, a blanket for baby boy. I used to love to read an old Dick and Jane book that we had growing up and so when I saw this fabric, I had to get it. The print is pretty small, which makes the quilt a little busy, but I still like it. What do you think the H stands for??

Baby Bully
"Don't bug me, Daddy!" rang out loud in sacrament meeting today. Lillie is really quite sweet, but sometimes is not as nice as she should be to her father and most definitely not to her friends. She's bossy and possessive. It's true. I know that this partly comes with being a two-year-old, but most kids we know her age are not this way. I feel like this reflects on my parenting, but I don't think I am bossy with her, I've been trying to do things "love and logic" style and giving her choices. I don't know, maybe I just don't see how bossy I am. Either way, I hope this is something that will change as she grows up. No one likes a bully!

Easter Hunt 2010
A big group of moms in my ward with little kids got together on the Friday before Easter to have a yummy lunch and egg hunt in the park. Lillie took her time picking up the eggs and only ended up with 3 after the hunt, but had tripled her amount of eggs by taking from unsuspecting kids who were too busy eating their candy to notice. We now have a healthy supply of potty training candy...even after I raided it for all the good stuff. I was too busy eating and chatting to take pictures so this is pretty much it. I think it was bright and that's why she looks like she's in pain. It was actually a lot of fun, equally as enjoyable for me as it was for her!
To Pee or Not to Pee
If you're sick of hearing about potty training, skip this post. I know what you're thinking, doesn't she have anything else going on? Nope!
Lillie has been doing really well with potty training lately, mainly due to the fact that I make her go around without anything on her bottom half. But it's working pretty well. In fact, today she went #2 on the potty. I mean I still had to clean up two pee puddles, but I can't believe it's actually working. One week down. Maybe after one more week, we might try panties and leaving the house. I'm getting cabin fever.
I did go to the doctor this morning and had my 30 week ultrasound. It's still a boy, which honestly, I was a little worried about. He's measuring about a week bigger than he should, but not the 6 weeks that my stomach had been measuring. Thank goodness! He weighs 4 lbs 7 oz right now. Hopefully he'll only gain about 3 more pounds before I deliver. We took Lillie with us to try and help her understand who this mysterious Baby Brother is. She has been really possessive of all the baby clothes and toys, thinking everything is hers. Anyway, I think she kind of got it. She kept telling me to relax during the ultrasound, which I thought was funny.
I got my doctors note for flying to WA in a couple weeks. Woohoo! I hate to fly, but I am excited to go back home for a little while. I need the change of scenery and I can't wait to see Lillie with her cousins.
Since I've been stuck inside with the potty trainee, I've been working on a couple projects. They're turning out pretty stinking cute. Too bad Lillie lost our camera's memory card, so I'm waiting for the new one to come before posting pictures.

I-POT
Lillie likes to play with Eric's Ipod Touch and had carried it into her bedroom. Eric asked her where his Ipod was and to go get it out of her room. She left for a minute and came back with one of her pink pots from her play kitchen and said," Here daddy, I-pot."
