H is for ???

So this is one of the projects that I've been working on the past month, a blanket for baby boy. I used to love to read an old Dick and Jane book that we had growing up and so when I saw this fabric, I had to get it. The print is pretty small, which makes the quilt a little busy, but I still like it. What do you think the H stands for??

Baby Bully

"Don't bug me, Daddy!" rang out loud in sacrament meeting today. Lillie is really quite sweet, but sometimes is not as nice as she should be to her father and most definitely not to her friends. She's bossy and possessive. It's true. I know that this partly comes with being a two-year-old, but most kids we know her age are not this way. I feel like this reflects on my parenting, but I don't think I am bossy with her, I've been trying to do things "love and logic" style and giving her choices. I don't know, maybe I just don't see how bossy I am. Either way, I hope this is something that will change as she grows up. No one likes a bully!

Easter Hunt 2010

A big group of moms in my ward with little kids got together on the Friday before Easter to have a yummy lunch and egg hunt in the park. Lillie took her time picking up the eggs and only ended up with 3 after the hunt, but had tripled her amount of eggs by taking from unsuspecting kids who were too busy eating their candy to notice. We now have a healthy supply of potty training candy...even after I raided it for all the good stuff. I was too busy eating and chatting to take pictures so this is pretty much it. I think it was bright and that's why she looks like she's in pain. It was actually a lot of fun, equally as enjoyable for me as it was for her!

To Pee or Not to Pee

If you're sick of hearing about potty training, skip this post. I know what you're thinking, doesn't she have anything else going on? Nope!

Lillie has been doing really well with potty training lately, mainly due to the fact that I make her go around without anything on her bottom half. But it's working pretty well. In fact, today she went #2 on the potty. I mean I still had to clean up two pee puddles, but I can't believe it's actually working. One week down. Maybe after one more week, we might try panties and leaving the house. I'm getting cabin fever.

I did go to the doctor this morning and had my 30 week ultrasound. It's still a boy, which honestly, I was a little worried about. He's measuring about a week bigger than he should, but not the 6 weeks that my stomach had been measuring. Thank goodness! He weighs 4 lbs 7 oz right now. Hopefully he'll only gain about 3 more pounds before I deliver. We took Lillie with us to try and help her understand who this mysterious Baby Brother is. She has been really possessive of all the baby clothes and toys, thinking everything is hers. Anyway, I think she kind of got it. She kept telling me to relax during the ultrasound, which I thought was funny.

I got my doctors note for flying to WA in a couple weeks. Woohoo! I hate to fly, but I am excited to go back home for a little while. I need the change of scenery and I can't wait to see Lillie with her cousins.

Since I've been stuck inside with the potty trainee, I've been working on a couple projects. They're turning out pretty stinking cute. Too bad Lillie lost our camera's memory card, so I'm waiting for the new one to come before posting pictures.

I-POT

Lillie likes to play with Eric's Ipod Touch and had carried it into her bedroom. Eric asked her where his Ipod was and to go get it out of her room. She left for a minute and came back with one of her pink pots from her play kitchen and said," Here daddy, I-pot."

I spoke too soon. Today was a day from the hot place.

This Might Actually Work?

A little update on the potty training:
Lillie did really well yesterday evening and so I had high hopes in the morning. Things didn't go as well as I had hoped for the first half of the day (no pee in the potty, one wet spot on the rug and a couple pairs of wet undies), but she has been a champ this afternoon and evening. I was even brave enough to take her to target, which she stayed dry the whole time! Twice this evening she has said she needed to go and then actually went in a timely manner. It's been difficult up until this point.

So I'm actually seeing progress, tomorrow we have an easter egg hunt and I'm leaning toward letting her wear panties. The major problem is that there isn't a bathroom at this park...
